My grandfather was a retired pensioner in the British Army. He served as a house keeper in the government office after his retirement. He was a devout Hindu but in 1949, he became a Christian. His children and grandchildren became Christians under his headship. I was only a Christian by name until I found Christ and was born again in 1988, when I attended a series of evangelistic services.
I overcame this struggle and in 1992, left my job to reach my peoples in all corners of the country. I joined with a Kachin Baptist Church where I had shelter and everyday my wife and I went out to reach the Gurkhas. By the grace of God, within two years we had 26 converts and established a church among the Gurkhas. By God's help we hope to double that by the end of this year. I have led 170 people to Christ since I became a Christian.
Honestly speaking, I need about $100.00 monthly that will enhance me house rent, food, travel expenses and children's education. We live in the compound of a Baptist who is very good and kindly but a liberal preacher. The profit I have is I can share fundamental teachings to his congregation. I want to have a different house where I may be free and independent and your financial help will enable me to do this. We have no choice of food. I try to be able to eat whatever. Since we have no income or support, we live on what friends offer, usually rice and curry, Indian food, Chapati. Pray that we will soon have a sponsor.
Report Files
Every 4 months sponsorship funds are sent to the preachers. With it goes a Missionary Report Form for each one to complete and return to our office. After compilation of statistics they are forwarded by mail or email to the sponsors. Below are past report forms from this preacher. They have been modified to protect the financial data of the sponsor.
