I came from a Muslim family but I took much interest in reading the Gospel. There are many castes and many different people in my village; Muslim, Hindus and Christians. When my father asked why I was going to church, I said that Jesus alone is the True Living God on whom we can rely and he is the only God who has the power to forgive our sins and give salvation to us. With these words, I fell down and the Holy Spirit came upon me and a light shown around me. I was afraid. My father began to beat me with ropes with all his strength. He asked me to leave Christ and come back but I did not move. My back and legs were bleeding from the beating. He brought a knife to cut my nose. Meanwhile, some onlookers took me to the hospital, cleaned my wounds and dressed me.
