During our great calamities we used to worship the goddess Phydithalli. I was a pastor and evangelist among tribal people who worship the goddess.
I attended school through the 10th grade. I was interested in painting and used to paint the image of the goddess. To please this goddess we would have a great procession in which all the partakers were intoxicated. This caused the people to perform all types of sins. I never thought of these as sins, just a good opportunity to enjoy the world.
One group of evangelists used to proclaim the gospel of Jesus in my village. I would quarrel with them and thought Christianity was a foreign religion. They always answered me in a soft manner which made me think about their peace and patience. Once I asked them questions about who Jesus is and they answered me. Hindu mythology says sinners are severely punished, but Jesus pardoned our sins and provided salvation as a free gift. I came to know that Jesus healed many ailments in His life here.

I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for his mercy and great grace. First of all in my life I did not know that I was a lost sinner. I tried to save myself through effort. I thought good works could save me. Jesus is great simply because one day he sent his minister to my house. This pastor taught me about salvation. He told me that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for me. I thank Jesus for freeing me from my bondage of sins. I was saved and baptized on Oct 6th 1984. As I was reading Isaiah 6:8-9, the Holy Spirit touched my heart and I decided to work for my Lord the rest of my life. Now I am the pastor of a church in Kenya
