I was born into a poor family who never knew anything about salvation. My father died when I was very young and so my mother raised me having lots of problems.
In 1984 some preachers came house to house evangelising the people. After reading and hearing the Word of God, I saw myself as a sinner and a lost man. I asked the Lord Jesus to enter my heart and save me. I was baptized in 1985. I became a Sunday School teacher and worked with the choir until God called me to be a pastor. I attended Bible College and after graduation became a pastor.
My wife was born into a Christian home. Both of her parents were saved, but she was not. When I was going house to house evangelizing, I met her. I spoke to her and shared the Word of God. She accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized. A year after that we got married. She is a wonderful wife, mother and servant of the Lord.
Currently I am involved in church planting, open-air evangelism, literature distribution, tribal evangelism, discipleship, Bible teaching, slum ministries and other forms of evangelism. I have trained three men to be pastors and have started a new church. So far, 170 souls have come to know the Lord through my ministry. I have baptized 130 of them.
We live in a three-room house. The walls are made of mud and the roof is sheet metal. Some of our favorite foods include ugali (a corn meal porridge), meat, rice, tea, coffee and potatoes. I am able to grow some food, the remainder I purchase at the market.
Please pray for us in my ministry that I will accomplish all the things that the Lord has for me to do. We are in great need of a bicycle because I have to travel such long distances to plant new churches. Pray for the church for us to be able to win many souls to the Lord. Pray for the Lord to raise up a sponsor for me soon to share in the ministry.
Every 4 months sponsorship funds are sent to the preachers. With it goes a Missionary Report Form for each one to complete and return to our office. After compilation of statistics they are forwarded by mail or email to the sponsors. Below are past report forms from this preacher. They have been modified to protect the financial data of the sponsor.
I am grateful to the preaching of my uncle in the church where I accepted the Lord. I was ten years old when I recognized my guilt before God and accepted Christ as my personal Savior. It was in 1984, while in college, that I received the call of God to the ministry. In 1987 I went to Bible Institute.
