I lived a long time enjoying life’s pleasures of which included evil habits of drinking, smoking and chewing miraa, fighting and even using insults. I did all those things without fear. I did not know that there was eternal fire and eternal life waiting for me after death.
One day I broke my leg playing football. While undergoing treatment at the hospital, a Baptist preacher came to preach there, and I believe God sent him. He told me about heaven and hell. I repented of my sins and trusted Jesus as Savior of my life. I was happy to be born a child of God.
The preacher gave me a tract and a Bible that helped me to know about God and communicate with Him. When I left the hospital, I started testifying how Jesus had saved me. Even though my leg was broken, I did not concentrate on it but rather about the eternal life Jesus had given me as a gift through faith. Because I was not in a church, I preached to my fellow herdsmen and four men were saved. I wrote and asked Mount Kenya Baptist Church to come and baptize us. I was baptized along with my converts and my wife and family members.
My wife, brother and sister were saved also from my preaching after I got out of the hospital. All of these things happened while I was still not well. After I was well again, I went back to work and continued preaching in the workplace. Because I did not have enough time to preach on the job, I left it. I shared my burden to preach with the church and they saw that I was able to get Bible training. My wife has been a great blessing for me in my ministry since she was saved.
I am a member of the Turkana tribe and speak two languages, including English, but the English is not so good. I have led 70 to the Lord and 30 have been baptized. We live in a house made of wood with a roof of iron sheets. Our favorite foods are roasted meat, eggs and vegetables. I am able to raise some hens for eggs, but just enough for my family.
Please pray for my family and myself as we serve the Lord in Kenya. Pray, also, for a sponsor for us to help us through their prayers and financial assistance as we serve the Lord to the best of our ability.

I have been saved since the moment I received the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart. Three months after my conversion, I was invited to a Bible study and from then on I felt a great need to study and immerse myself in the Word of God. Three years later I went to a place far away from my residence where there were no Christians and there I began my ministry where there have been many souls converted for the Lord. I now pastor a church there. I was saved in July of 1968, and was baptized 6 months later. ...Read More
